To create my Marbled Impressionism, instead of starting with paper and using a brush to design with paint, I start with paints, float them on water and using a skewer to make a design, then transfer to paper. My designs are generally serene landscapes and florals. Occasionally I will have a series of Controlled Chaos, right now I'm featuring three in a series of "__________" with deep reds, oranges, and black.
OTHER GOINGS-ON IN OUR BUILDING
Because this was once a testing warehouse there are numerous nooks and crannies, making a great location for artists' studios. Around the corner is Dru's studio, he always has interesting art work and a guest artist; Wug Leku's Studio and Garage Gallery is across the hall, Nancy Lee's jewelry is also featured; Chef Pilar Lopez in The Pastry Station is just opposite my doorway; Matt Davey's sculpture studio is down the hall.
